  • May 8th is the final session of Rabbi Steve’s Thursday afternoon Basic Judaism series. Next Thursday, May 14, he offers a new class, a look at what may lie behind some of the Bible’s most unbelievable stories, for example,  “Balaam and his talking donkey”; Numbers 22:21-39
  • This Friday night – Sisterhood Shabbat-honoring women in the military – Be part of this meaningful evening as we welcome Rabbi Chaplain Major Sarah Schecter of the U.S. Air Force, an author and third-generation service member, along with West Point graduate Lt. Terry Bresnick. Sisterhood leaders and members will help lead the service, followed by an enhanced Oneg.
  • By now you should have received your tickets in the mail for the Bloomin’ Bucks Spring Raffle. You can bring them this Friday night to put in the big gold drum yourself or mail them back. THANK YOU for supporting Temple Sinai through this important fundraiser! And you just might win! Prizes are $1,000, $500, and $300, with the drawing at Bingo on Wednesday, May 27. You do not need to be present to win.  If you did not receive tickets—or would like more—you can pick them up Friday nights, Saturday mornings, or in the Temple office during the week.   • Erev Shavuot: Thursday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m. at Temple ToratEmet 8600 Jog Rd., Boynton Beach. Join Rabbi Steve and Cantor Shir along with rabbis and cantors from other congregations, for prayers, a light nosh, learning and music.   • Friday, May 15 at 6:15 PM – Volunteer Appreciation NightIf you’ve volunteered at Temple Sinai in any way, this evening is for you. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres at 6:15 p.m. before services as our thank you, and feel free to bring a spouse or significant other.   • Sunday, May 17 at 7 p.m. Second meeting for Rabbi Steve & Rebbetzin Judy’s Israel Trip, scheduled for November 2027.   At this meeting there will be a chance to ask the Tour Manager questions remotely. There are also some possible alternative itineraries to discuss.  If you haven’t already expressed interest in learning about the trip, please leave your name, phone number and email address at 561.276.6161 ext. 7101.  The trip is open to members and non-members.

  • Volunteer Opportunity – We Need Your Help!

    We’re looking for a few volunteers to share responsibilities supporting our building operations — not one person to do it all. If you can give a few hours a week and have experience with scheduling, coordinating custodial staff, managing projects, or working with suppliers and contractors, we would love to hear from you. Please call the Temple office and let us know how you can help.
