Here’s What’s Happening at Temple Sinai

•   New Project!  Give meaning to the “bits and pieces” in your jewelry box.  Do you have broken gold, silver or gold-filled jewelry, single earrings? Bring them in a baggie or an envelope any Friday night or during the week.  There will be a small gold “pot” to put them in. Our Jewelry Expert will evaluate them and give Temple Sinai a check for our Holocaust Torah Restoration Fund. •   Erev Shabbat at 7:30 this Friday, celebrating Yom Ha’AtzMaut (Israel Independence Day and honoring Temple Sinai’s Sisterhood.  Also, it is our Video Volunteer, Zac Nisenbaum-Lamadore’s last night with us. We will wish him the very best as he graduates high school and goes off to college.  We are so grateful to Zac for his dedication and assistance for almost two years! 

•   Monday, May 13th at 10 a.m.  “Let’s Get Together and Talk About Israel” (see details in Rabbi’s message)

•   Monday, May 13th at 7:30 p.m. WE STAND WITH ISRAEL. Observe Yom Ha’zikaron in remembrance of Israel’s fallen and celebrate 76 years of Israel’s independence, as one community.  Registration is required, Go to:   https://jewishboca.org/events/jewish-federation-yom-hazikaron-program/ at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County – Zinman Hall, 9901 Donna Klein Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33428  

•   Sundays at Sinai, May 19th  at 3 p.m. Sylvia Saks, a hidden child survivor of the Holocaust, will speak on her experiences during World War II.  Details at TempleSinaipbc.net or get a flyer in our lobby.

•   Tuesday, May 21st from 3 – 6 p.m. Volunteer with our Brotherhood and the fantastic Beachkeepers, Inc organization to clean up trash and leaves in our parking lot. Details on the flyer at TempleSinaipbc.net. If you can volunteer, please RSVP to Brotherhood at 561-276-6161 Ext 133.  All other equipment will be provided, but rakes are needed if you can bring one. 

 •   Thursday, May 23rd  at 7 p.m., Temple Sinai members (only) are invited to a free movie night to see “Hanukkah On Rye.”  Refreshments will be served. RSVP: 561-276-6161 Ext.124.

•   Sunday, May 26th at 10 a.m. A morning service for Lag B’Omer, followed by Rabbi Steve offering an Introduction to Kabbalah.

•   Friday, June 7th, at 6 p.m. a “pre-Shavuot” Shabbat Dairy Dinner. Details at TempleSinaipbc.net or get a flyer in our lobby. (Members who have joined Temple Sinai since December 2023 should have received an invitation to attend the dinner at no charge. Please RSVP at your earliest convenience by calling 561-276-6161 Ext.124). 

•   Erev Shabbat service, June 7th at 7:30 p.m. honoring new members AND celebrating all June birthdays with a blessing and a sweet goodie!  Extra Special Oneg Shabbat after the service.

•   Tuesday, June 11th at 6 p.m.  Join us for a dedication ceremony for our two gorgeous new sculptures.  Followed by an Erev Shavuot worship service.  See details in Rabbi’s message.
