Social Action

Temple Sinai’s Social Action Committee is dedicated to providing opportunities to do Mitzvot and acts of kindness, coordinate interfaith programs and support Israel in many ways through creative projects.

We have many ongoing projects. Every week on Friday at 10 AM we make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which are distributed to benefit the homeless. We are directly involved in Family Promise that supports families in need. We organize collection boxes for many organizations in our lobby.  We coordinate special Tzedakah collections for worthy organization. We are active in the Delray Beach Interfaith Committee for Social Services. We run the Temple’s annual High Holy Day Food drive in coordination with the JFS Jacobson Family Food Pantry. We organize voter’s registrations and blood drives at the Temple.

Meetings for Social Action take place at 10 AM on the last Sunday of the month in the Temple in the lobby.   New members and new ideas are always welcome!
